Jane Murdock feels The Kinkaid School is a special place because of the shared goal of excellence. She has seen it firsthand as a devoted and beloved faculty member for more than 28 years who is the current chair of the World Languages Department, a French teacher, and director of Interim Term.

She has observed the shared goal of excellence most recently while coordinating Interim Term. There are many moving parts to this unique program; however, its success relies on the talents of many people. "Everyone just smiles and says, 'Sure, I can make that happen.' " she says.

She has been pleased with the "establishment and articulation of our four core values: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Kindness. Those four words go beyond just a Kinkaid slogan. I consider them an integral part of the culture of my classroom."

Above everything else, this busy lady cherishes her Kinkaid relationships the most. All relationships—with students, alumni, parents, and faculty—"from Josh in the cafeteria to Josh in NetOps. We all care about each other and for each other."

She has made a lifetime caring deeply about her students, and they affectionately keep in touch with her through the years.

"I am unabashedly proud and privileged to teach at Kinkaid. As such, I want to support Kinkaid in its phenomenal efforts in promoting our school and moving it forward," she says.

The Kinkaid School will remain special with dedicated teachers like Ms. Murdock who will always pursue our shared goal of excellence!
